Voting Process

NOMINATION CRITERIA

Nominations are conducted in two tiers. First round voting is opened to the general public on by way of online registration at www.stylusgroup.ca. Voting is open for approximately 10 days. To be eligible for nomination, DJs must be publicly recognized in their respective categories and or cities across Canada as listed in the online voting directory unless otherwise specified per individual category.

There is no limit to the number of nominations accepted for consideration for one said nominee, however a voting registrant can only vote once as identified by the email address provided. Second round voting will commence once the online voting poll has been closed.

WINNERS:

The winners are chosen by a national judging committee selected from our “Stylus All-Stars” whom are a 100 member panel of the key industry tastemakers, and record company representatives. The selected 100 voting members are randomly selected and change from year to year. The criteria of which winners in each category are chosen are based on both career accomplishments and current endeavors. In the event of a tie, an internal board of voting members will place a unanimous vote to determine one winner in accordance with category stipulations. Nominees who have succeeded to win honours throughout three consecutive years within the same category are retired from that specific category.

HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE(S):

The prestige associated with induction of the Hall of Fame Award, is projected to exceptional individuals and/or groups who are recognized as leaders of our industry. Induction is not limited to any one (1) candidate(s) per year. Inductees will receive an official Stylus Award inscribed with their name, and will be recognized with a synopsis of their history and contributions through a formal segment presented by selected peers and colleagues.
